Team Member Spotlight: Jinny Fankhauser

Meet Jinny Fankhauser:

When did you join the Border family?
I have been working as an AGM at the Rockford location for a year and a half. I’m an external hire from Burger King and I’m extremely happy with the switch.

What is your favorite part about working for Border Foods?
My favorite part is all of the fun prizes that Border Foods gives away to the team members. There’s a lot of incentive for the crew to perform well!

What’s your go-to menu item?
I like the Cheesy Gordita Crunch and the Cinnamon Twists with sour cream. 

Any fun facts about yourself that you can share with us?
I love to travel and I’m an adrenaline junky. I went on a zipline between two volcanoes in Guatemala. I almost fell off of a waterfall because I could barely see it. I won first place in a karaoke contest.

If given a chance, who would you like to be for a day and why?
I’d be David Dobrik because he gets to make silly and fun videos for a living.

List one piece of advice you’d like to give to your fellow team members.
When you’re stressed remember that it could be worse. It’s just tacos. 

Share three career lessons you’ve learned so far.
When you’re early, you’re on time and when you’re on time, you’re late. Showing up with a positive attitude makes work more effective, and the crew happier. Don’t give up when stuff gets tuff. 

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Sing, go on adventures, play with my cat, and snack on candy and junk food.
