Alisa has been with Border Foods at the Buffalo location for five and a half years. She started out as a team member, and now she’s a shift lead. With a goal to become an AGM, Alisa is sure to have a bright future with Border!
What do you look forward to when coming to work?
I look forward to working with the team. No one’s really ever in a bad mood. They’re always positive. Everyone likes to have fun, but still get their work done at the same time.
How is Border Foods unique to other companies?
Not a lot of places offer the same benefits. I don’t think there’s another job that gives you a bonus for being a shift manager.
Any advice for fellow shift leads or people on your team?
Be yourself.
What’s your favorite part of coming to work?
I like coming to work with my team. I work with different people here than I hang out with outside of work, and they’re great. I enjoy training new people and helping them learn the ropes.
Anything else you would like people to know about Border?
Border provides so many opportunities for their employees. They offer a lot. I think that’s really cool.
What’s next?
I am working towards becoming an AGM. At some point, I would like to go to school to be a registered nurse.
