Border Foods’ new Defy drive-thru restaurant concept is no stranger to media coverage since its June 2022 opening. Most recently, our ultra modern, first-of-its-kind location in Brooklyn Park, Minn. was featured by Nation’s Restaurant News, one of the industry’s leading publications.
In an article about how drive-thrus have evolved through a pandemic with consumers’ “deepening affection” for staying in their cars and brand-specific changes to meet this trend head-on, the publication highlighted some of Defy’s most unique features: four drive-thru lanes, second-floor kitchen, food delivered via “the modern equivalent of a dumbwaiter.” Co-founder Lee Engler and Taco Bell President Mike Grams were also interviewed.
